Updated Re-Alignment Standings

Introduction
So I've realized that basically the way the standings work starting next season is that for the wild cards you must look to conference standings for the teams not sitting in the top 3 in their division, as such, I'm going to do the standings by showing the top 3 in each division (all of whom are in the playoffs) and then conference standings for the rest (the top two of whom would make the playoffs).

Pacific
1) Anaheim Ducks: 48 pts in 30 games (17 ROW)
2) Los Angeles Kings: 36 points in 30 games (16 ROW)
3) Vancouver Canucks: 36 points in 30 games (12 ROW)

Midwest
1) Chicago Blackhawks: 51 points in 30 games (20 ROW)
2) Minnesota Wild: 36 points in 29 games (14 ROW)
3) St. Louis Blues: 34 points in 29 games (14 ROW)

Western Conference Wild Card Standings:
1) Winnipeg Jets: 34 points in 31 games (15 ROW)*
2) San Jose Sharks: 32 points in 29 games (8 ROW)*
3) Dallas Stars: 31 points in 30 games (13 ROW)
4) Nashville Predators: 30 points in 31 games (10 ROW)
5) Phoenix Coyotes: 30 points in 31 games (10 ROW)
6) Edmonton: 29 points in 29 games (9 ROW)
7) Calgary: 26 points in 28 games (11 ROW)
8) Colorado: 26 points in 29 games (10 ROW)

Atlantic
1) Pittsburgh Penguins: 46 points in 31 games (21 ROW)
2) New Jersey Devils: 34 points in 31 games (12 ROW)
3) Carolina Hurricanes: 32 points in 30 games (15 ROW)

Northeast/Southeast (Looking forward to Bettman's "Senisble Geographic Division Name")
1) Montreal Canadiens: 45 points in 30 games (18 ROW)
2) Boston Bruins: 43 points in 29 games (17 ROW)
3) Ottawa Senators: 38 points in 31 games (13 ROW)

Eastern Conference Wild Card Standings
1) Toronto Maple Leafs: 35 points in 31 games (16 ROW)*
2) Detroit Red Wings: 33 points in 30 games (12 ROW)*
3) New York Rangers: 32 points in 30 games (15 ROW)
4) Columbus Blue Jackets: 30 points in 30 games (8 ROW)
5) New York Islanders: 29 points in 30 games (11 ROW)
6) Buffalo Sabres: 28 points in 31 games (8 ROW)
7) Tampa Bay Lightning: 27 points in 30 games (13 ROW)
8) Washington Capitals: 27 points in 30 games (13 ROW)
9) Philadelphia Flyers: 27 points in 30 games (12 ROW)
10) Florida Panthers: 24 points in 31 games (8 ROW)

Changes from Last Time I Did This (3/10):
Winnipeg has climbed up and Phoenix has dropped out of the playoffs in the West. The top 3 in each Western Conference division have not changed but St Louis and Minnesota have flip-flopped places. In the East, Toronto has dropped from a top-3 division team to a Wild Card, but the top 8 remains the same.

Thoughts
It's nice to see that we would still have some good playoffs races going. Columbus would be exactly as far out – 2 points – in the new Eastern Conference as their surprising run has them in the current West.

It's fairly amazing that with Winnipeg and Detroit swapping conferences, we would have the exact same 16 teams making the playoffs if the season ended today!

Is it just me or is hilarious that after trading Nash to the Rangers, the BJs are only two points behind them in the standings and neither is a playoff team at the moment?
